About Khoob:
khoob architekten is a collective of migrant planners and architects based in Germany, driven by the conviction that architecture can be used to address global inequality. As professionals who come from developing countries and now live and work in the Global North, we recognize our privileged access to capital, institutions, and platforms — and we choose to redistribute part of that access to support communities who face systemic barriers to basic human needs, like shelter.
The word “khoob” (خوب) comes from Persian (Farsi) and is also used in Urdu, Hindi, and some other South Asian languages. “Khoob” means “good,” “well,” “fine,” or “beautiful”, depending on context.
